What could be better than a stroll round Camden Lock Market, in the drizzle? Come and experience the damp cold... Hold on we have a market hall! You can stay dry and browse to your hearts content, and the roast chestnuts are on hand to warm you up for the stroll back to the tube station.

Aftermath

The Snow has cleared, the temperature is on the rise and it's the shortest day of the year, that means the summer is on it's way... Well you've got to be optimistic don't you!
Snowball fights where the order of Saturday, if you where here you would have witnessed an epic battle across the canal, i'm secretly hoping for more snow so we can carry on this week but it's not looking to promising.
Gifts, presents goodies and all things nice are available right until Christmas eve here, so don't fret too much about not having all your prezzies.

Full swing Christmas

This is a cheerful market, so come and bring the family down to get all those lovely prezzys. The market is packed to the rafters with wonderful stalls with something for everyone. If it's a drink you need, mulled wine is served at the front of the market all day.

Blistering Barnacles

Wool'dnt you know it but we have lots of wooly jumpers at a very good price, even some 100% cashmere jobbies, imported from Scotland straight from the maker so you don't pay any hidden extras, just what the wool is worth, cosy as a penguin in a huddle. There's mulled wine a plenty and roasted chestnuts too, scarf's hats gloves and sox aswell so you can leave Camden lock Market as warm as a open fire.

Winter market is here!

The snow hasn't arrived, but Camden Lock Market is still a flurry of activity. Lots and lots of Christmas gift ideas for all the family, even broken records make great gifts (when turned into clocks) yule find them in the West yard! It’s a day without cars on the Camden high street, making it a perfect time to come and shop, eat and drink your lazy Sunday away. We have the pleasure of hosting a number of arty crafty stalls here today, selling everything from hand made soap to Barry Loke selling pictures up in uperty L in the market hall.

Best Pies

I was back in my little village, Crouch End the other night, and a friend stopped me and asked if I still worked in Camden Lock Market, yes I replied, he said have you had a pie from the pieman?! I happen to have had one of every flavour, Chicken & Mushroom, steak and kidney, veggie and fish pies to die for.
So the word is spreading about the food here, we are improving and this is just the start of things to come.

We present 3 new indoor food stalls

So we have 3 new indoor food stalls in the lower market hall, just off Camden Lock Place. Turkish Kebabs, The best Crepe stall ever and paella to die for, thats breakfast launch and dinner sorted then! Oh but wait, don't forget there neighbours, Kim's Vietnamese, Paul's HAHA veggie bar and Sandra's Pizzeria. I guess that's Sunday breakfast launch and dinner sorted =)

Sunshine

That's the forecast for today, the pumpkin festival is in full swing with some ghastly carvings all around Camden Lock Market today. Food stalls are serving up pumpkin curry and pies, to tickle your taste buds. We are really filling up for the Christmas period, come and buy your presents early to avoid the last minute rush!!

Camden Lock Market and its amazing food

I am a food lover, all food makes me happy but good food makes me ecstatic! This is why we are bringing in the best of our midweek food stalls to trade at the weekend. Pie Man, Portuguese, Food in the Middle and fresh Indian (Sonjitas) are all here on Saturdays and Sunday WOOOOO HOOOOOO is all I can say. These stalls are making fresh healthy food adding to our wide variety of foods form around the world already on offer.

Chimney Cake

Despite the wet start we have loads of interesting stalls here today. The Chimney cake stall in the West Yard is serving up sweet smelling cakes which believe it or not, look a lot like chimney. Our beloved pie man is here too, Portuguese, Pure earth and Louis crepes are all here just to service your stomachs. If you look in the Middle yard you will find some traditional English fudge, alongside Miguel selling Mexican masks. Hmmmm all this food talk is making me hungry, i'm off to test all the food. Ymmy yummy yummy.

EAT EAT EAT

In the wild wild West yard today we have Sonitas Kitchen, fine Indian food made from fresh ingredients cooked using olive oil, you can really taste the health! Choose from Vegetable, Prawn, Chicken or lamb curry and a mix of sweet or spicy chutneys. The food in Camden Lock Market is really moving to another level.

So it's all about the new pieman in the West Yard today, dedicated and with a excellent set of taste buds. So far I've had the chicken and mushroom, steak + ale and the fish pies.. and inside, well, juicy lumps of meat fish and flavour all topped with perfect puff pastry. He is here during the week Mon-Fri so if you like good food come down and see what we have on offer. The usual quality food stalls are here at the weekend too.

So it's here at last

The leaves on the willow over the lock are almost out, this means its warming up and the terraces of the lockside bar and Lock 17 are no longer reserved for those having a fag. The warmth of spring saw a change of fashions on the market this weekend. Gone where the gloves hats and woolly jumpers, gone too where the mulled wine stalls, replaced with pina-coladas and fresh fruit juices. It's only a matter of time before the Havaianas are out of the cupboard and on your feet. Don't you just love the sunshine!

Eat Eat Eat

We love to eat, and eating is essential. Today (Friday) in the west yard we have, Harrys foot long smoked hotdogs, Polish + Czech, Hungarian, French Crepes and traditional English food stalls. This makes it hard no to get very very fat, having to sample all the delights is such a hard task. I think having all these different choices does liven up the day, and inspires new ideas when cooking. So the sun is out, we have chairs and tables ready for you to to enjoy a good old munch for lunch.

New Milkshake Shop In the East Yard

It’s raining in Camden Lock Market, but we have still have our most hardy food stall holder Louis, outside in the West yard selling the best crepes in the world (fact). Plus our normal indoor food area is open for business. Up in the East yard the Hippy Hippy Shake company has just opened their latest store and I can tell you from personnel experience that its worth a visit. With every milkshake flavour imaginable you won’t come away disappointed. I recommend peanut M&M’s mmmmmmmmmm. So see you soon for some fantastic food!
